Description of Project Drawing Set
A typical project drawing set includes a cover sheet, design drawings, and a remove from service (RFS) drawing. Projects that have less than three design drawings do not require a cover sheet. The CAD files associated with the project drawing set include a master plan file, a master profile file (in some cases), and a series of sheet files that represent the cover sheet, the RFS sheet, and the design drawings.
The term "base drawing" is used to describe the design drawing as it appears before the proposed design is drawn. The base drawing shows all of the site features and is used as the background for the proposed design. Although the base drawing and the design drawing represent the same CAD file, the base drawing may be produced as a separate function from the design drawing.
In some cases a profile of the existing grade and proposed pipeline is required. The District shall determine where profiles are required.
